Lucas Family History
This blog will be the place to come to for Lucas Family History in Alabama. It is dedicated to the Lucases who came to Jefferson County from St. Clair County and earlier from Henry County. The earliest family I can find in Alabama is Andrew Jackson Lucus and Elizabeth (Tyler) Lucus. this was listed in the 1850 Census for St. Clair County Alabama then they are in Henry County in the 1860 Census living in Chipola. More to come later.

I am trying to find information on my mother's side of the family, her name was Ethel Inez Lucas and her parents were Mamie and Hobsin Lucas. They were from Alabama around the Montivilla (this may be spelled wrong) area. Have you come across these names... Shep and Rebecca Lucas were my grandfathers parents... Linda

I married a Lucas from Jefferson County a little over a year ago and we stated working on our family histories. I'll look through what I have (not much at this point) and see if we're related in any way, and could help each other! :)
